Inujima Island is one of several “Art Islands” within the Seto Inland Sea off of the coast of Japan. Home to numerous art exhibits and architectural pavilions, these islands, once small fishing villages, once quarries, once almost abandoned, are now home to some of the world's most creative works of landscape art and architecture.

This proposal, developed in an experimental studio with designer David Ruy, and ecological philosopher and author Timothy Morton is a proposal for ecology in the anthropocene. This proposal is an experiment in what it will mean to live in an “Ecology without Nature”.
